Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 26, at Foothills Gardens of Memory. Rev. Robert Kraft officiating. Cremation held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Contributions may be made to ALS Association or Meals on Wheels in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. April 26, 1906 - July 21, 2004 Rose E. Wagoner of Longmont died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at Applewood Living Center in Longmont. She was 98. She was born April 26, 1906, in Edmond, Kan., to Charlie and Sara Ellen (Williams) Thompson. She was married on Aug. 26, 1925, to Virgil Clifford Wagoner Sr., in Stockton, Kan. Mrs. Wagoner moved to Platteville in 1936 and to Longmont in 1939. A homemaker, she was a member of the Methodist faith. She also belonged to the Longmont Senior Center and was a member of the Rebecca Club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, making Raggedy Ann dolls and gardening. She will be remembered as a great cook who lived for her family. Mrs. Wagoner was preceded in death by her husband in 1971; a son, Virgil Clifford Wagoner Jr. on Jan. 5, 1985; a daughter, Wave Frantz in 1987; two sons-in-law, Lyle Frantz and Larry Young; seven brothers; a sister; and a grandson, Virgil Clifford Wagoner III. She is survived by a son, Harlen Wagoner and his wife, Mary of Longmont; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Wagoner of Virginia, a daughter, Colleen Young of Longmont; eight grandchildren, Sheri and Jeri Frantz, Terry Dunning, Larry Young, Kristi Shelloner, Melissa O’Neal, Brady Wagoner and Brandi Wagoner; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 26, at Foothills Gardens of Memory Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Kraft officiating. Cremation has been held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association or to Meals on Wheels, sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. |
