Enid,Ok - The funeral for Doyle Cloyd Davis, 85, of Buffalo, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at First Baptist Church, Buffalo. The Revs. Jerry Hodges and Bill Tindell will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Creek Cemetery, Paruna community, northeast of Buffalo, with military rites by the Buffalo/ Laverne American Legion. Arrangements are by Myatt Funeral Home, Buffalo. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was born Jan. 21, 1923, in the Paruna community to Dwight and Ethel Edwards Davis and died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at Harper County Community Hospital, Buffalo.

He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1943. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Eva Virginia Redwine Sept. 1, 1947, at Paruna. She died Aug. 17, 2001. He married Roselee Rogers Aug. 6, 2002, in Fort Supply.

Surviving are his wife, Roselee of the home; one son, Doyle Davis of Buffalo; three daughters, Shirley Joan Haury of Valley Center, Kan., Joyce Elaine Johnson and Sandra Kae Shane, both of Buffalo; one sister, Ethel Wanda Yauk of Buffalo; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

In addition to his first wife, Eva, he was preceded in death by one brother.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Willow Creek Cemetery.
