Kiser Jr., Glenn Herbert

Glenn Herbert Kiser, Jr. Born in Quinlan, OK, Sept. 24, 1919 to parents Etta E. and Glenn H. Kiser, Sr.; passed away Feb. 19, 2004 in Puyallup, WA after a brief illness. Moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where he attended college and met his first wife, Melba J. Schulz, who he survived. He served his country during WWII at Bremerton Naval Base, WA and saw action in Okinawa. In 1970 he sold his Fort Worth company Die Crafters and retired to the Pacific Northwest. He was a member of the Puyallup 1st Baptist Church Rebuilders, an organization for widows and widowers, where he met Kathryn; Puyallup Eagles; and played in the Senior Orchestras of Sumner and Puyallup. Kathryn and Glenn celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary Feb. 14th. Glenn loved life and his church, even having been raised in the depressed dust bowl of Oklahoma. When younger, was President of the Inland Divers Association and a church-sponsored Boy Scouts Troop Leader in Fort Worth. Played violin in the orchestras and, as a hobby, hand built violins. Survived by his wife Kathryn, Puyallup; 2 children, Kathryn Hamby and Thomas Kiser, Ft. Worth; 3 stepchildren, Nansea Welsh and Malone Schwartz, Puyallup, Janice Nielsen, Maryland; 3 grandchildren, Deborah Russell, Melissa Hamby and Chris Hamby, TX; 5 great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 24, 11:00am, Puyallup 1st Baptist Church, 1219 15th St. NW. Puyallup, WA 98371. The family requests donations to the church in lieu of flowers.

Glenn Herbert Kiser Jr.

Glenn Herbert Kiser Jr., 85, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004 in Puyallup, Wash., according to lifelong friend, Otto Roesicke.

He lived in Granbury a number of years and retired from his own business, Die Crafters, in Fort Worth.

He was born Sept. 24, 1919 and was a member of the Baptist Church.
