Agnes Pear (Edwards) Smith Meyer Obituary

Agnes P. Meyer Former Silt resident, 96

Agnes Pear Meyer of Sarver, Penn. died January 12, 2004 at her home. She was 96.

She was born Sept. 21, 1907 in Oklahoma to J.E. and Pearl (Brittenham) Edwards. She attended school in Silt and was a graduate of Silt High School.

Agnes married Ernest Smith of Meeker and to this union two children were born, Cella Mae Sproull and John. Agnes and Ernest divorced and Agnes married Paul Meyer. She and Paul lived in California for many years. Paul preceded her in death in 1990.

She is survived by a brother, Calvin, of Kim, and three sisters, Bessie of Glenwood Springs, Vesta of Grand Junction and Fern of Loveland; a daughter, Cella Mae, of Pennsylvania, and a son, John, of Texas; three grandchildren, Dan, Lynn and Ginger, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Ernest and Ralph; and a sister, Gevena.

She will be sadly missed by her family.
