BOB STAHL FORT MYERS, Fla. - John Robert “Bob” Stahl, 77, of Ft. Myers, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005. He was born in Paulding County, the son of John H. and Edythe Stahl. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during WWII, serving aboard the USS Iowa. He was a parts manager for many years and worked for Val Ward Cadillac for 28 years. He was a 50-year member of the American Legion, a member of the Cypress Lake United Methodist Church where he served on the ushering committee, and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Helen R.; a daughter, Tina (Larry) Buchanan of Columbus; a son, Jeff (Dawn) Stahl of Ft. Myers, Fla.; three sisters, Ruth (Harold) Williams of Oakwood, Margaret Craft of Grover Hill, and Linda (Loren) Sidle of Van Wert; and seven grandchildren, Matthew and Stephanie Buchanan, and Bobby, Laraine, Daniel, Samuel and Rebekah Stahl. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William Stahl. A memorial funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 2, at the Cypress Lake United Methodist Church in Ft. Myers. Entombment will be in Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
