Harriet I. Thatcher Harriet I. Thatcher, 83, of rural Middle Point, died at 8:33 p.m. Monday at Lincolnway Nursing Home, Middle Point. She was born July 27, 1919 in Van Wert County, to Glen E. and Beryl (Martin) Hanby. On Nov. 10, 1937, she married Floyd E. Thatcher, who died March 28, 1989. Survivors include two sons, Danny L. (Phyllis) Thatcher and Clair O. (Diane) Thatcher of Middle Point; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Thatcher; a sister, Margaret Morris; and a granddaughter, Carla Kay Thatcher. Mrs. Thatcher was a homemaker. She was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church and a lifetime resident of Van Wert County. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Middle Point United Methodist Church, Lincolnway Nursing Home Activities Fund or Delphos Hospice. |
