Vona M. Vonarx, age 94, Tuesday, February 28, 2006.

If you listened carefully, one could hear the angels as they took the spirit of our mother and grandmother to be greeted by her beloved.

Born in Bassett, Nebraska to the late Ellis and Florence Myers Burgett. Vona was also preceded in death by her devoted husband of 42 years, Joseph Victor Vonarx. She lived a long, full life as wife, mother and grandmother.

Survived by son, Joseph R. (Karen), St. Louis, Mo.; daughters, Noreen (Harry) Fitzpatrick, Bradenton, Fl., Kathy Reichelderfer, Circleville, Mary (Nelson) Embrey II, Ashville, Susan (Charles) Castle, Grove City, Anne (David) Smoley, Baltimore, Md., Christine Rice, Columbus; grandchildren, Carol Sue (Bill) Bresler, Rosemary Graham, Joseph (Karen) Vonarx, Julie (Ken) Voss, Lisa Vonarx, Michaelle (David) Bickers, Symphony (Brad) Circone, Sean (Cindi) Fitzpatrick, Diane (Bill) Hill, Philip Reichelderfer, Elizabeth (Rusty) Johnson, Nelson (Megan) Embrey III, Rick Quinn, Michael (Raquel) Quinn, Brad, Karen and Kevin Smoley, Cassandra, Jennifer and Ian Rice, and Josh Ellis; step-grandchildren in whose lives Vona actively participated, Holly (Dan) Smith and Jacob Castle. She heralds 28 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Durelda Buckley, Bradenton, Fl.

Friends may call Friday, March 3rd - 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Prayer Service at 3 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. Broad Street, Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, March 4 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 280 N. Grant Ave. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harbor Light Hospice, 253 N. State St., No. 100, Westerville, Oh. 43081. Vona would leave you with one of her favorite sayings, "In life, you can do anything you put your mind to."
