Evelyn Gail Neiswender is the daughter of Jesse Anthony Neiswender (Sr.) and Helen Mary Van Vliet. She was born 17 April 1928 in Seattle, King, Washington.
- On 12 June 1954, at age 26, she married Roger Enoch Hammett (Jr.), who was age 25, in King county, Washington. He is the son of Roger Enoch Hammett (Sr.) and Lillian Flournoy. He was born 10 February 1929 in Greenwood, Caddo, Louisiana. He died 21 July 2012 in Seattle, King, Washington. He is buried at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, Washington. This marriage ended in divorce in 1974.
