She died 16 April 1940 at age 61 in Whitley county, Indiana. On 19 April 1940, she was buried at Blue River Cemetery, Thorncreek, Whitley, Indiana.

• On 7 September 1902, she married Harvey E. Waugh in Whitley county, Indiana. He is the son of David Miner Waugh and Mary Kinsey. He was born 30 December 1876 in Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana. He died 15 November 1958 at age 81 in Indiana.

None of the records I have come across refer to Mary Gertrude as "Mary" -- they all say Gertrude. Is Mary really her first name?
