Cornelius Stephen Scott

Cornelius Stephen Scott is the son of Harrison Scott and Sarah L. Perry. He was born 28 April 1851 in Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia (though then it was Virginia). He died 21 January 1933 at age 81 in Monroe county, West Virginia. He was buried at Scott Family Cemetery, Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia on 23 January 1933.

He was age 24 when, on 27 April 1876, he married Elizabeth Ann Carraway, who was age 26, in Greenbrier county, West Virginia. She is the daughter of William Page Caraway and Margaret Harrah, and the sister of Martha Evelyn Caraway, who married Cornelius' brother, William. She was born in 1850 in Greenbrier county, West Virginia (then called Virginia). She died 1 December 1902 at age 52 in Monroe county, West Virginia. She is buried at Scott Family Cemetery, Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia.

  6. Ashby Angus Scott was born 29 July 1885 in Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia.
  7. Harry Hunter Scott was born 18 February 1887 in Monroe county, West Virginia. He died in February 1962 at age 74 in Manatee county, Florida. He is buried at Scott Family Cemetery, Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia.
    • On 16 April 1924, at age 37, he married Pearl Kershner, who was age 28, in Alderson, Greenbrier, West Virginia. She is the daughter of Marshall L. Kershner and Susan Katherine George. She was born 26 July 1895 in Greenbrier county, West Virginia. She died 10 November 1992 at age 97 in Alderson, Greenbrier, West Virginia. She is buried at Scott Family Cemetery, Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia.
  8. Paul Jay Scott was born 25 May 1892 in Monroe county, West Virginia. He died 25 August 1971 at age 79 in Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia. He is buried at Scott Family Cemetery, Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia.
