On 22 May 1844, at age 21, she married Allen Ellis, who was age 24, in Monroe county, West Virginia (though it was then just Virginia). He is the son of James Ellis and Elizabeth Longenachre. He was born about 1820 in Greenbrier county, West Virginia (then called Virginia). He died 18 July 1876 at age 56 in Greenbrier county, West Virginia.
