Cora Joanne Kuntz is the daughter of Ruth Ann Lemons and Roy H. Kuntz. Joanne, as she is known, was born in 1929 in Illinois.

• In 1949, at age 19, she married Norman L. Hermann, who was age 20, in Illinois. He is the son of Fred C. Hermann and Katherine Louise Schurter. He was born 23 June 1928 in Deer Creek, Tazewell, Illinois. He died 23 February 2006 at age 77 in Clearwater, Pinellas, Florida. On 2 March 2006, he was buried at Morton Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, Morton, Illinois.
