She died 20 August 1932 at age 53 in Second Creek, Monroe, West Virginia. She was buried at Sinks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia on 22 August 1932.

She was age 21 when, on 15 August 1900, she married Allen Thomas Johnson, who was age 21, at Grace's parents' home in Monroe county, West Virginia. He was born 23 July 1879 in West Virginia. He died 13 December 1960 at age 81 in Grayson county, Texas. He is buried at Panhandle Cemetery, Panhandle, Carson, Texas.
