Mary Constance Johnson is the daughter of Grace Given Scott and Allen Thomas Johnson. Known as Constance, she was born 22 June 1901 in Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia. She died 24 February 1971 at age 69 in Charleston, Kanawha, West Virginia. She was buried at Sinks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia on 27 February 1971.

She was age 22 when, on 7 May 1924, she married her second cousin once removed, Orr Scott (Sr.), who was age 22, in Hinton, Greenbrier, West Virginia. He is the son of Thomas Wellington Scott and Alice Dearing. He was born 14 February 1902 in Monroe county, West Virginia. He died 11 April 1981 at age 79 in Palm Beach county, Florida. He is buried at Sinks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia.
