Pearl P. Scott is the daughter of Cornelius Stephen Scott and Elizabeth Ann Carraway. She was born 6 July 1882 in Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia. She died 29 January 1945 at age 62 in Dorcas, Grant, West Virginia. She was buried at Bergdall Cemetery, Dorcas, Grant, West Virginia on 1 February 1945.

She was about age 37 when about 1920 she married Don Roscoe Kite (Sr.), who was about age 30. He is the son of Charles Oliver Kite and Susan Ann Bergdoll. He was born 2 December 1889 in Milroy, Grant, West Virginia. He died 15 March 1971 at age 81.
