He was age 26 when he married Alice Bertha Honaker, who was age 23, at Alice's parents' home in Monroe county, West Virginia, on 8 May 1918. She is the daughter of Isaac Madison Honaker and Rachell Parthena Long. She was born 15 July 1865-1867 in Dorr, Monroe, West Virginia. She died 24 March 1959 at age 91-93 in Fort Spring, Greenbrier, West Virginia. She was buried 26 March 1959 at Sinks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia.

9. Beecher Basil Scott was born 14 March 1910 in Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia. He died 15 January 1985 at age 74 in Amarillo, Potter, Texas. He is buried at Panhandle Cemetery, Panhandle, Carson, Texas.
   • On 18 August 1951, at age 41 he married Laura Viola Holmes, who was age 33. Known as Viola, she is the daughter of Robert Alva Holmes and Katie McDaniel. She was born 6 December 1917 in White Deer, Carson, Texas. She died 12 April 2006 at age 88 in Amarillo, Potter, Texas. On 17 April 2006, she was buried at White Deer Cemetery, White Deer, Carson, Texas.
