She was age 28 when she married Clarence Edgar Smith (Sr.), who was age 32, in Princeton, Mercer, West Virginia, on 3 April 1926. He is the son of Harve Smith and Lucy Cruise. He was born 26 October 1893 in Newport, Giles, Virginia. He died 22 April 1966 at age 72 in Mullens, Wyoming, West Virginia. He was buried 24 April 1966 at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Beckley, West Virginia.
