Alice Ruth Scott is the daughter of Isaac Eugene Scott and Hazel Lee Brown. She was born 8 December 1929 in Potter county, Texas.

She was age 24 when she married Jack Nelson Kight, who was age 25, in Multnomah county, Oregon, on 20 June 1954. Heis the son of Walter Kight and Mabel Nelson. He was born 26 December 1928 in Toledo, Lincoln, Oregon. He died 17 October 2011 at age 82 in Gresham, Multnomah, Oregon. He was buried 23 October 2011 at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah, Oregon. This marriage ended in divorce in 1992 when Alice was age 62 and Jack age 63.
