Elsie Whitehead Swope is the daughter of Lucy Jane Burdette and Jonathan Joseph Swope. She was born 16 March 1879 in Wolf Creek, Monroe, West Virginia. She died 16 December 1964 at age 85 in Mercer county, West Virginia. She was buried 19 December 1964 at Talcott Cemetery, Summers, West Virginia.

On 26 November 1905, at age 26, she married Zachariah Augustus Dickinson (Sr.), who was age 30, in Oceana, Wyoming, West Virginia. He is the son of Jackson G. Dickinson and Sabina Isabelle Woodson. He was born 5 May 1875 in Chesterfield county, Virginia. He died 17 February 1930 at age 54 in Talcott, Summers, West Virginia. He was buried 19 February 1930 at Talcott Cemetery, Summers, West Virginia.

She was born 10 September 1919 in Fayette county, West Virginia. She died 14 May 1961 at age 41 in Hinton, Summers, West Virginia. On 16 May 1961 she was buried at Sears Cemetery, Hix, Summers, West Virginia.
6. Felix Basil Dickinson was born 16 January 1920 in Talcott, Summers, West Virginia. He died 17 February 1968 at age 48.
   • On 9 June 1945 at age 25 he married Estel Dare Haynes who was age 21 in Hinton, Summers, West Virginia. She is the daughter of Carl Haynes and Betty. She was born 4/24 February 1924 in Newton, Roane, West Virginia. She died 17 April 1993 at age 69 in Spencer, Roane, West Virginia.
