Locksie Irene Swope is the daughter of Lucy Jane Burdette and Jonathan Joseph Swope. She was born 28 May 1881 in Monroe county, West Virginia. She died 9 April 1941 at age 59.

On 24 April 1901, at age 19, she married Ethelbert Price Baber, who was age 23, in Summers county, West Virginia. He is the son of H. C. Baber and Kate. He was born 1 July 1877 in North Garden, Albemarle, Virginia. He died 30 October 1962 at age 85. He is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington, Virginia.

1. Henry S. Baber was born 24 August 1901 in Hinton, Summers, West Virginia. He died 25 November 1956 at age 55. He is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington, Virginia.
   • About 1925, when he was age 23, he married Goldie K. (unknown), who was also age 23. She was born about 1902 in Virginia. She died 7 April 1956 at about age 54. She is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington, Virginia.
2. Lucie Katherine Baber was born 2 January 1903 in Summers county, West Virginia.
3. Charles C. Baber was born 26 December 1908 in West Virginia. He died 21 August 1974 at age 65 in Covington, Alleghany, Virginia. He is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington, Virginia.
