Alice Faye Mason is the daughter of Alice Faye Burdette and Edwin Augustus Mason (Sr.). She was born 13 October 1926 in Jackson, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She died 16 May 1999 at age 72 in Cape Girardeau, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was buried 18 May 1999 at Russell Heights Cemetery, Jackson, Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

On 4 June 1944, at age 17, she married Billy Joe Thompson (Sr.), who was age 18, in Cape Girardeau, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He is the son of Sylvester Udee Thompson and Anna Mabel McDonald. He was born 12 July 1925 in Leemon, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He died 7 December 2000 at age 75 in Jackson, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was buried 11 December 2000 at Russell Heights Cemetery, Jackson, Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
