Elah Dale Eades is the daughter of Georgia Demetrius Burdette and Walter Creigh Eads. She was 12 February 1886 in Summers county, West Virginia. She died 9 July 1953 at age 67 in Alderson, Greenbrier, West Virginia.

On 5 December 1905, at age 19, she married Alvin Courtney Pugh, who was age 26, in Greenbrier county, West Virginia. He is the son of Spotswood Walker Pugh and Sarah Ann Robinson. He was born 6 May 1879 in Caroline county, Virginia. He died 24 October 1937 at age 58 in Alderson, Greenbrier, West Virginia. He was buried 26 October 1937 at Alderson Cemetery, Alderson, Greenbrier, West Virginia.

He died 27 July 2000 at age 91 in Culpeper, Culpeper, Virginia. On 31 July 2000, he was buried at Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, Virginia.
3. Edwin H. Pugh was born 6 January 1919 in West Virginia.

There is much inconsistency as to spelling for Elah. The spelling of her first name varies between Elah, Ehla and Ella. And her last name is sometimes Eads, other times Eades.
