Virginia Susan Miller is the daughter of Paulina Scott and William F. Miller. Known as Jennie, she was born 25 February 1861 in Monroe county, West Virginia (though then it was Virginia). She died 28 August 1929 at age 68 in Loudoun county, Virginia. She is buried at Hilsboro Cemetery, Hilsboro, Loudoun, Virginia.

On 4 May 1882, at age 21, she married Charles Alexander Baber, who was age 24, at her father's home in Indian Mills, Summers, West Virginia. He is the son of Powhatan Bolling Baber and Caroline Tuggle. He was born 31 January 1858 in Indian Mills, Summers, West Virginia (then called Virginia). He died 14 October 1939 at age 81 probably in Loudoun county, Virginia. He is buried at Hilsboro Cemetery, Hilsboro, Loudoun, Virginia.
