Georgia Alma Burdette is the daughter of Semma Ramus Scott and Lewis Allen Burdette. She was born 16 June 1881 in Wolf Creek, Monroe, West Virginia. She died 12 March 1961 at age 79 in Ronceverte, Greenbrier, West Virginia. She was buried 14 March 1961 at Alderson Cemetery, Alderson, Greenbrier, West Virginia.

On 10 October 1900, at age 19, she married John Elbert Foster, who was age 23, at her parents' home in Monroe county, West Virginia. He is the son of Oliver Harrison Foster and Mary Ann Elizabeth Barton and the brother of Carrie Foster who married Georgia's brother, James. He was born 25 August 1877 in Wolf Creek, Monroe, West Virginia. He died 12 September 1959 at age 82 in Alderson, Monroe, West Virginia. He was buried 14 September 1959 at Alderson Cemetery, Alderson, Greenbrier, West Virginia.
