In 1947, at age 17, she married Harry Lee Walker (Sr.), who was age 19. He is the son of Frederick Lee Walker and Mary Cleo Adkins. He was born 23 October 1927 in Monroe county, West Virginia. He died 29 October 1986 -- just a week after his 59th bithday -- in West Virginia. He is buried at Green Hill Cemetery, Monroe, West Virginia.
