Orral Lorraine Burdette is the son of Everette Clifton Burdette and Pinie Ethel Legg. He was born 31 August 1910 in Ansted, Fayette, West Virginia. He died 17 October 2005 at age 95 in Champaign, Champaign, Illinois. He was buried 23 October 2005 at Cunningham Memorial Park, St Albans, Kanawha, West Virginia.

• On 23 December 1937, at age 27, he married Alma Ruth McKinney, who was age 23, in Tazewell, Tazewell, Virginia. She is the daughter of Isaac Edmond McKinney and Bertha Ora Lilly. She was born 16 January 1914 in Beckley, Raleigh, West Virginia. She died 9 July 2002 at age 88 in Beckley, Raleigh, West Virginia. This marriage apparently ended in divorce.
• On 22 November 1948, at age 38, he married Helen Grace Gaal, who was age 37. She was born 30 September 1911 in Hungary. She died 30 January 1994 at age 82 in Stone Mountain, De Kalb, Georgia.
