Clora Fay Miller is the daughter of Dorothy H. Edds and James Thomas Gibson Miller. She was born 19 February 1887 in Flat Mountain, Monroe, West Virginia. She died in November 1974 at age 87 in Muncie, Delaware, Indiana. She is buried at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, Cabell, West Virginia.

On 11 August 1915, at age 28, she married Clarence Marcellus Ashburn, who was age 31, in Sinks Grove, Monroe, West Virginia. He is the son of William M. Ashburn and Columbia Jane Butcher. He was born 12 October 1883 in Doddridge county, West Virginia. He died 19 March 1935 at age 51 in Huntington, Cabell, West Virginia. He was buried 21 March 1935 at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, Cabell, West Virginia.
