Mary Esther (Hedges) Nichols

Mary Esther Hedges is the foster daughter of Rose B. Fisher and Bert Beverly Waugh. She was born 9 May 1915 in Thorncreek, Whitley, Indiana. She is the biological daughter of Herman Hedges and Daisy Katie Jackson. Daisy died in 1920 when Mary was not yet 5 years old. Mary died 7 March 2015 at age 99 in Albion, Noble, Indiana. She is buried at Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana.

On 31 October 1934, at age 19, she married Kenneth Allen Nichols, who was age 21, in Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana. He is the son of Charles Curtis Nichols and Eletha Maud Egolf. He was born 19 June 1913 in Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana. He died 11 June 2004 at age 90 in Albion, Noble, Indiana. He is buried at Green Hill Cemetery, Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana.
