She died 25 August 1986 at age 77 in South Boston, Halifax, Virginia. Her remains were cremated and interred at Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Boston, Halifax, Virginia.

On 20 July 1927, at age 18, she married Charles Howard Wilkinson (Sr.), who was age 24, in Halifax county, Virginia. He is the son of James Harrison Wilkinson and Harriet Mencher Black. He was born 27 October 1902 in Halifax county, Virginia. He died 26 June 1968 at age 65 in South Boston, Halifax, Virginia. His remains were cremated and scattered from an airplane. A memorial also exists at Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Boston, Halifax, Virginia.
