Isaac Egolf is the son of Henry S. Egolf and Malinda Garrison. He was born 2 October 1858 in Thorncreek township, Whitley County, Indiana. He died 18 August 1906 at age 47 in Whitley County, Indiana. He is buried at Egolf Cemetery, Whitley County, Indiana.

On 24 April 1881, he married Rosetta Beemer in Whitley County, Indiana. She is the daughter of Isaac Beemer and Sarah Jane Mayberry. She was born 8 March 1861 in Ohio. She died 18 November 1934 at age 73 in Los Angeles County, California. She is buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Section 20B, Los Angeles County, California.

1. Walter Egolf was born 4 May 1882 in Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana. He died 5 June 1927 at age 45 in Ontario, San Bernardino, California. He is buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Section 20B, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
2. Ezra Egolf was born 18 March 1884 in Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana.
3. Hulda Jane Egolf was born 12 December 1888 in Indiana. She died 30 May 1924 at age 35 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. She is buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Section 20B, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.

Isaac suffered greatly from rheumatism as attested both in his obituary in the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette (Fort Wayne, IN, 19 August 1906)and this article in the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette a month earlier (Fort Wayne, IN, 14 July 1906). The obituary also mentions that Isaac's son, Walter, also suffers from the condition.

In a 1917 US-Canada border crossing document, Walter is described as being 6'4" tall and hunchbacked.
