On 24 December 1918, he married Lily Agnes Roberts in Wadena, Saskatchewan, Canada. Known as Queenie, she is the daughter of Joseph Rendelsham Roberts and Sarah Marshall. She was born 11 October 1900 in East Ham, Essex, England. She died 15 March 1993 at age 92 in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
