Floyd Alon Hively is the son of Matthew Hale Hively and Anne Cordelia Widup. He was born 5 June 1880 in Indiana. He died 20 March 1930 at age 49 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon.

About 1907, he married Florence Elizabeth Rumer. She is the daughter of William David Rumer and Bertha Huey. She was born 21 August 1888 in Sterling, Logan, Colorado. She died 1 July 1979 at age 90 in San Juan Capistrano, Orange, California.

Children of Floyd Alon Hively and Florence Elizabeth Rumer:

1. Helen Louise Hively was born 1 August 1910 in Alliance, Box Butte, Nebraska.
2. William Rumer Hively was born 18 May 1913 in Nebraska.

Notes

Floyd: I an not absolutely certain that this Floyd Hively is the son of Matthew Hively. I have not yet been able to locate any records or census listings showing Matthew with a son. But tradition indicates that Matthew had a son named Floyd, and this is the only Floyd Hively I have been able to locate who was born at approximately the right time in Indiana (with parents also born in Indiana).
