She died when her clothing accidentally caught fire on 2 November 1934 at age 76 in Basil, Liberty, Fairfield, Ohio. On 5 November 1934, she was buried at Union Evangelical Cemetery, Baltimore, Fairfield, Ohio.

On 9 November 1880, she married John Wesley Mauger. He is the son of Abraham Mauger and Sarah Gass [or Goss]. He was born 28 March 1857 in Basil, Liberty, Fairfield, Ohio. He died 15 October 1939 at age 82 in Basil, Liberty, Fairfield, Ohio. On 17 October 1939, he was buried at Union Evangelical Cemetery, Baltimore, Fairfield, Ohio.
