James William Cordill is the son of James Dewitt Cordill and Ruth Lavon Stafford. Bill, as he is known, was born 14 June 1930 in Liberty Mills, Wabash, Indiana. He died 22 February 2000 at age 69 in Kissimmee, Osceola, Florida. He is buried at South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, Whitley, Indiana.

He married Patricia Ann Hamilton. She was born 31 May 1935 in Wabash county, Indiana. She died 11 February 2000 at age 64 in Kissimmee, Osceola, Florida.
