• She married Rezin Wells Pumphrey. He is the son of Joshua Pumphrey and Arthalinza Ann Wells. He was born 14 February 1816 in Carol, Tuscarawas, Harrison, Ohio. He was killed in Civil War action on 28 November 1862 at age 46 in Pigeon Roost, Mississippi. He is buried at Memphis National Cemetery, Memphis, Tennessee.

3. Marvin M. Pumphrey was born 26 March 1845. She died 28 August 1846 at age 17 months in Whitley county, Indiana. He is buried at Egolf Cemetery, Thorncreek twp, Whitley, Indiana.
4. Clara Irene B. Pumphrey was born 20 May 1846. She died 8 September 1846 at age 3 months.
5. Henry Wells Pumphrey was born 1 April 1848 in Whitley county, Indiana. He died 23 September 1874 at age 26 in Whitley county, Indiana.
6. Ann Eliza Pumphrey was born 1 September 1850 in Whitley county, Indiana.
7. Mary Melcina Pumphrey was born 4 March 1852 in Whitley county, Indiana.
8. Arvilla Arthalinza Pumphrey was born 1 September 1854 in Whitley county, Indiana.
9. Florence Alverda Pumphrey was born 5 December 1857 in Whitley county, Indiana.
10. Elmira Otis Pumphrey was born 1 September 1859 in Whitley county, Indiana. Mida, as she is known, died in 1943 at age 83 in Whitley county, Indiana. She is buried at Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana.
    • On 25 November 1879, at age 20, she married Hugh Madison Sherwood, who was age 21, in Whitley county, Indiana. He is the son of James Marion Sherwood and Mary Elizabeth Jones. He was born 10 October 1858 in Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana. He died on his 70th birthday, 10 October 1928, in Whitley county, Indiana. He is buried at Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana.
