Betty Ann Herron is the daughter of Mildred Ilo Bair and Dewey Herron. She was born 14 August 1927 in Thorncreek, Whitley, Indiana. She died 2 April 1989 at age 61 in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana. On 5 April 1989, she was buried at St. Matthew Cemetery, Whitely, Indiana.

On 22 June 1947, she married Eldon E. Sheets. Bud, as he is known, is the son of Evan Sheets and Golda. He was born 23 August 1918 in Indiana.
