[News-Sentinel, Fort Wayne, IN, July 29, 1999] Paul R. Knafel Paul R. Knafel, 88, of Churubusco, a member of Guys and Gals Square Dance Club for more than 25 years, died Tuesday, July 27, 1999, at Parkview Hospital. The Noble County native retired in 1980 from Petrolane in LaOtto as service/repairman after 22 years of service, had worked for County Line Cheese as a milk route driver for 11 years, for General Electric Co. in Fort Wayne, was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church-Lake Township and past president of Columbia City Eagles Lodge Aerie 1906. Surviving are his wife, DeElda; daughters Betty Smith and Wanda Maroney, both of Wolcottville, and Sandra Elser and Sue Grabill, both of Fort Wayne; sisters Anna Nauman of Wauchula, Fla., and Lenora Davis of Ligonier; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sheets Funeral Home, Churubusco, with calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.
