[News-Sentinel, Fort Wayne, IN, October 11, 2002] Donald E. McBride Fort Wayne - 1928-2002 Donald E. McBride, 74, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Churubusco, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at St. Joseph Hospital. The Churubusco native retired in 1993 as owner/operator of Indiana Bankers Supply after 22 years of service and was former editor/reporter/photographer for Tri-County Truth in Churubusco. He was a member of Westridge Baptist Church, Churubusco Lions Club and a Korean War U.S. Army veteran. He was a former member of Churubusco United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Jennie Householder of Albion; stepdaughters Judy Scheumann of Monroeville and Laura Fuller of Fort Wayne; sons William J. of Churubusco, Hayes of Albion and Daniel P. of Fort Wayne; a stepson, Terry Fuller of Morgantown; a sister, Eleanor Stureman of Kimmell; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Westridge Baptist Church, 4710 Illinois Road, with calling one hour before services. Calling is also from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Churubusco. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens.
