[The Post & Mail, Columbia City, Indiana] Patricia Spencer, 72 Patricia E. Spencer, 72, of Milwaukie, Ore. passed away June 9, 2010. Born April 26, 1938 in Washington, D.C. she was a daughter of Irvin Swander and Elizabeth (Daubin) Hartman. As a young girl, she lived with her grandparents, Irvin and Hallie Hartman, on Hartman Road in Whitley County and moved to Coronado, Calif. She graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. On Oct. 26, 1956 she married James L. Chandler. On May 27, 1978 she married Lansing Mark Spencer. For 25 years, she owned and operated her own business, Pat Spencer Tax Service. Survivors include her husband, Lansing; daughter, Elizabeth Vogel of Hillsboro, Ore.; brothers, Michael L. Hartman of Gresham, Ore. and Christopher R. Hartman of Clackamas, Ore. and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Irvin Chandler died July 8, 1977; grandparents, Irvin and Hallie Hartman. A brother, Andrew B. Hartman, died Jan. 20, 2011. Private family burial was Tuesday in Nolt Cemetery, Columbia City. Local arrangements were entrusted to DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, Columbia City. |
