[Goshen News, Goshen, IN, Mar 8, 2005] John A. Weimer PIERCETON, Ind. - John A. Weimer, 69, died Sunday at 4:54 a.m. at Elkhart General Hospital, where he had been a patient for one week. He was born Feb. 12, 1936, in rural Noble County, to Lennel and Hazel (Hunter) Weimer. On Aug. 5, 1955, he married Lorene Mauzy at Dutchtown Brethren Church. He was employed as a delivery driver for the recreation vehicle industry and was a farmer. He was a member of Salem Community Church and attended Ligonier Evangelical Church. He enjoyed farming and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Pierceton; three sons, Matt (Cheryl) Weimer and Rusty (Cheryl) Weimer, both of Howe, and Craig (Linda) Weimer, Ligonier; a daughter, Kim (Dennis) Sprunger, Cromwell; a brother, Arnold Weimer, Cromwell; a sister, Norma (Sug) Mauzy, Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Pat Weimer, and a sister, Ruby Weimer. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ligonier Evangelical Church. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. David Kushman officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Wilmot.
