[Peoria Journal Star, Peoria, IL, August 18, 2008] William Kuntz Goodfield - William H. Kuntz, 80, of Goodfield died on Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at 10:55 p.m. at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born in Peoria on June 20, 1928, a son of Roy H. and Ruth (Lemons) Kuntz, and lived with his uncle and aunt, Forrest and Rowena (Robinson) Lemons. He married Maurine Bradle on June 20, 1950, in Goodfield. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Donald (Kitty) Kuntz of Des Plaines, Ill., David (Pat) Kuntz of Goodfield and Dan (Fran) Kuntz of Eureka; one daughter, Diane (Ken) Selvey of Excelscior Springs, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Joshua Kuntz, Holly Selvey, Angie Edwards, Christy Bauman, Veronica Kuntz, Kali Kuntz and Kyle Donnelly; two sisters, Jo Anne Hermann of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Phyllis Krest of Sunnyvale, Calif.; three brothers, Richard Kuntz of Belleair, Fla., Jack Kuntz of Goodfield and Larry Kuntz of Martinsville, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents, his aunt and uncle who raised him and two infant children, Denise and Dennis. William was a farmer and raised Hampshire hogs and Angus cattle. He retired from Caterpillar in 1984. William was a member of the Midwest Tool Collectors. He enjoyed collecting antique wrenches and jacks and displaying them at shows. He also enjoyed his garden, especially raising tomatoes and giant pumpkins. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Goodfield, where funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008. The Rev. Roger Strunk will officiate. Visitation will be this evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka and from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Olio Township Cemetery.
