Jack Nelson Kight Jack Nelson Kight, 82 of Gresham OR, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011. He was born on December 26, 1928 in Toledo, Oregon to Walter and Mabel (Nelson) Kight. He lived in Portland for most of his lifetime and graduated from Washington High School in 1946 and attended the University of Oregon. He served in the US Army from 1950 to 1952 and was stationed in Germany. He was married to Alice Scott from 1954 to 1992. He married Adrienne Lockray on January 3, 2001 and she preceded him in death in 2003. Jack was a real estate broker for 40 years before retiring in 1993 and was a member of the Million Dollar Club and the National Association of Realtors. He was a lifetime member of the Christian Science Church and was a member of the Men's Garden Club and the Rose City Motorcycle Club. He was an avid motorcyclist and world traveler which included Europe, Asia and the Far East. He moved to Gresham in 2002. He is survived by his former wife Alice Kight of Pleasanton CA; son Eric Kight of Portland OR; daughter Jane Onojafe of Pleasanton CA; brother Jim Kight of Troutdale OR and three grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. Private interment at Willamette National Cemetery. |
