[From Covenant Funeral Service] Shirley C. Tulloss, 77, of Augusta, West Virginia, formerly of Stafford County died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Winchester surrounded by family. Mrs. Tulloss was born in Covington, Virginia. She was a 1952 graduate of Falmouth High School, which was the last graduating class of the school. She later attended Mary Washington College. Mrs. Tulloss was a member of Hartwood Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Frank S. Tulloss, Jr. of Augusta, West Virginia; two daughters, Katherine E. Tulloss of Winchester, Teri Tulloss Bockian and her husband, Steve of Orlando; three sons, Frank S. Tulloss III of Fredericksburg, Robert S. Tulloss and his wife, Lisa of Yorktown, and John C. Tulloss and his wife, Sara of Staunton; six grandchildren, Frank S. Tulloss IV and his wife, Katie, Kimberly M. Tulloss-Byrd, Robert S. Tulloss, Jr., Margaret E. Tulloss, Justin Cole Arnett and his wife, Sheri, and Olivia A. Arnett; two great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Chaplin; and her brother, Charles H. Chaplin, Jr. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm Sunday, May 15 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at Noon Monday, May 16 at Aquia Episcopal Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be her high school classmates. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hartwood Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 50 Hartwood Church Rd., Fredericksburg, Virginia 22406. |
