[From Arizona Republic, Phoenix, AZ, 9/6/2008] Richard C. Burdette passed away on August 31, 2008. He was born in Keystone Heights, Florida, on March 1, 1944, to Susan Bell Burdette and James C. Burdette. He and his family moved to Arizona in 1946. Richard attended West Phoenix High School and Phoenix College before joining the Navy and serving his tour of duty. He is survived by a son, Keith Burdette, grandchildren, Haley and Cody, stepdaughter, Christine Cooper, granddaughters Sasha and Sloane, stepdaughter, Gina Novotchin, granddaughter, Jade, and his former wife, Judy Burdette. He is also survived by a brother, Eddie, his wife Christine, and nephew, Kevin. Services and interment will be held on Monday, September 8 at 9:30AM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Donations may be made in his memory to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014. |
