[Gadsden Times, Gadsden, AL, Saturday, June 16, 2007] Foster, Barbara A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church of Gadsden for Barbara Foster, 75, who entered Heaven Thursday, June 14, 2007. Morgan Funeral Chapel directing. She was a beloved wife, mother and friend. She was born in Pittsburgh to Marcella McCloskey and Willard D. Varley. She graduated from Slippery Rock University and was a gifted elementary school teacher. She came to Gadsden in 1955 with her family to make their home. She is survived by her husband, George H. Foster Jr.; son, George "Buddy" (Cindy) Foster; and daughters, Susan (Craig) Boden and Virginia "Ginny" (Jeff) Davis. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. With her husband she had traveled the world and will be remembered by many for her kindness. She will be buried in Alderson, W.Va. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Westbrook Christian School. |
