Wanda Ann (Scott) Decantis Obituary

Wanda Ann Scott DeCantis, 79, of Locust Grove died Monday, September 12, 2011, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. Mrs. DeCantis was born May 30, 1932 in Sinks Grove, West Virginia daughter of the late Mark and Cora Ratliff Scott. She was a graduate of Bluefield Business College and during the 1950's worked for Western Union in Washington D.C. where she met her late husband of 49 years, D.P. DeCantis. She was a loving, patient, and kind lady who enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time at home. Survivors include three daughters, Linda A. DeCantis-Graham and her husband, Charles, Debra L. DeCantis, and Margaret D. Wilhour and her husband, Mark; a son, Thomas S. DeCantis; a granddaughter, Erika S. Kaufman. She was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. Funeral services will be private with interment at Arlington National Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Mine Run Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
