[Charleston Gazette, Charleston, WV, Apr 15, 2005] Gladys Carrol Gibson Gladys Carrol Gibson, 65, of Rupert passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, following a long illness. Born Feb. 18, 1940, in Rupert, she was a daughter of the late Charles Scott and Gladys Eleanor Hunter Hedrick. She worked as a sewing machinist at Kellwood and Isratech. Mrs. Gibson was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Clement 'Bo' Gibson of Rupert; two daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Jerry Clevenger of Canvas and Rhonda and Chris Yoakum of Smoot; seven sons and their wives, Robert and Robin Thomas and Marvin and Teresa Hedrick, all of Rupert, Junie and Darla Thomas of Rainelle, Jeff and Lorrie Thomas of Crawley, Mike and Kim Thomas of Core, Gary and Ruth Kinder of Bradenton, Fla., and Randy and Lisa Gibson of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters and their husbands, Gerry and Jerry Jacobs of Hurricane, Sandra Walkup, Ruth and Dwight Hanson and Debbie and Gary Deitz, all of Rupert; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, with Pastor Youel Altizer officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle. There will be no evening visitation. Arrangements are by Wallace & Wallace Inc., Rainelle. |
