[Cadillac News, Cadillac, Michigan, 1/18/2012] Robert W. Treiber LAKE CITY - Robert W. Treiber, age 61, of Lake City, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012, at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia. Robert was born March 7, 1950, in Grand Rapids to Dwain W. and Marian Elizabeth (Harrington) Treiber. He was an avid bowler, liked gardening, fishing and enjoyed kids. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 300 of Lake City. He was a delivery person for The Cadillac News for five years. He is survived by his loving wife and companion, Lynda, of Lake City and four step-children; Thomas Smyth of Fowlerville, Christopher Smyth of Livonia, Idelle Naumowicz of Howell and Jennifer (Ryan) Foreman of Cheboygan. He is also survived by his mother Marian Treiber of Manton; two sisters, Diann (Duane) Richards of Cadillac, JoAnn (Bobby) Treiber of Manton; and two brothers, Matthew Treiber of Manton, and David (Mickey) Treiber of Curtis; three step-grandchildren and many nieces, nephew and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Dwain. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012, at the Lake City American Legion Hall with Melanie Vasser conducting services.
