Linda Lou (Tucker) Ritchie Obituary

Linda L. Ritchie, age 65, of Ligonier, IN passed away Thursday August 19, 2010 at 12:13 PM at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville, IN. She was born on December 22, 1944 to Harry & Pauline (Gaff) Tucker in Noble Township near Wolf Lake, IN. She was a lifetime area resident & graduated from Wolf Lake High School in 1963. Over the years, Linda had worked as a quality inspector at Essex, Union Products, Albion Products and Superior Sample. Linda enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening and had a love for animals.

Survivors include one daughter, Tonia Tucker of Albion; one son, Todd Ritchie of Ligonier; one grandson, Miguel "Mike" Tucker of Albion; one granddaughter, Megan Layne of Wawaka; three sisters,Joy Peterson of Albion, Betty Tucker of Ligonier, Harriet Tucker of Albion; and very special family and friends, Kenny Layne of Mishawaka, Melanie Layne of Wawaka, Mary Godsey of Larwill, Benji Fugate of Columbia City, Mickie Godsey of Syracuse, Carol Marsh of Albion, Tam Hammond of Oviedo, FL, John Peterson of Columbia City, David Peterson of Kimmell and Frank Kimmell of Tri-Lakes. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joanne Kimmell.

A private family burial will take place on Thursday, August 26, 2010 with Celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Interment will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery in Albion, IN. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier. Memorial contributions are to the American Diabetes Association or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
