Former Manchester alderman Larry L. Trimmer dies at 68 MANCHESTER - Larry Lee Trimmer, former Manchester city alderman and retired project engineering facility director for the VKF facility at Arnold Center, died Wednesday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was 68. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel LLC. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Kerry Walker, Dr. Steve Bingham, and Rev. Sidney Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. A native of Columbia, Ind., Trimmer was actively involved with Manchester City Industrial Board while serving as a city alderman. He was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School director, and former music director. He was an avid woodworker which led to he and his father Floyd starting "Tomorrow's Antiques." He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Judy Trimmer, and parents, Floyd and Madge Trimmer. He is survived by three daughters, Jenny (Mike) Jackson, Manchester; Susan (Greg) Kilgore, Tullahoma; Cathy Trimmer, Franklin; six grandchildren, Harris, Taylor, and Hunter Jackson; Elizabeth, Sara, and Matthew Kilgore; fiancee, Bea Pyle, Ponce Inlet, Fla. Donations may be made to Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund. Coffee County Funeral Chapel LLC is in charge of arrangements. |
